Secure Computing is pleased to announce the release of Generation 4 hardware for Messaging products on February 18, 2008. Generation 4 hardware will provide customers running IronMail 6.7 and later significantly improved performance. The Generation 4 models are: S10D, S120, E2200, and E5200.
NEW WARRANTY PROGRAM
Along with this exciting increase in performance, Secure will begin offering new and improved warranty options.
S10D MODEL:
The purchase of a Generation 4 S10D appliance includes a three-year Advanced Hardware Replacement limited warranty. During the warranty period, an additional two years of support can be purchased, for a total of five years of hardware support.
S120, E2200, and E5200 MODELS:
The purchase of S120, E2200, and E5200 Generation 4 appliances includes a three-year limited warranty, with next business day (NBD) service response included. The warranty can be upgraded to four-hour response support at the beginning of the original term. During the warranty period, an additional two years of hardware support can be purchased, for a total of five years of support.

EXISTING CUSTOMERS: The new warranty options apply for Generation 4 hardware purchases going forward. Your existing warranty is valid and will be honored.
GENERATION 3 HARDWARE
With the significant performance improvements and extended warranty options, Generation 4 hardware will become the standard offering. The last order date (LOD) for Generation 3 hardware will be March 31, 2008, or while supplies last.
The following Generation 3 hardware models will be affected: S10B, S25B, S50B, S100B*, E2000A, E2000B, E2000C*, E3000A, E3000B*, E5000A, E5000B, C10000A, C10000B.
* The E3000B appliance for Edge and the S100B and E2000C appliances for IronMail SWD will remain Active past the LOD date.

SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY
Generation 4 hardware is built to perform with IronMail 6.7.X and later releases. In order to continue running IronMail 6.5.X, Generation 3 hardware is required. Generation 4 hardware is also built for CMC 2.7.X and later releases. In order to run CMC 2.5.X, Generation 3 hardware is required.
Generation 3 will continue to be upgradeable with IronMail 6.7.X and later, IronMail SWD 6.1.X and later, as well as CMC 2.7.X and later. Edge 2.1.X and later will continue to run on Gen 3 hardware.
